OUR MISSION
![]()
To serve primarily Hispanic people of diverse cultures who are united in language and values rooted in the Catholic tradition for over 500 years.
We collaborate in providing ministries and services that evangelize and bear witness to the Reign of God and:
call forth Hispanic people, especially our youth, to service and leadership at all levels of the Church and community; |
promote the recognition of Hispanic people as integral to the life of the Church and |
sustain, celebrate and share our culture, values, language, and life-spirit - the best of what it means to be Hispanic--with the church and wider community. |
Our CORE VALUES are "to guide our daily service and ministry within our parishes, families and communities in carrying forth our mission."
"Fiesta, celebration of faith and life" |
Hospitality. We welcome and accept one another. |
Family & Community. We love and appreciate the family, especially our children, youth and elders, and the ties with the community. |
Mutual Dignity & Respect. We accept and value the importance of each person and the different gifts they have to offer. |
Service. "The fruit of our mutual love, our respect for each person and our desire to follow Jesus." |
PURPOSE
The Office of Hispanic Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland explores and responds to the diverse pastoral needs of Hispanic Catholics in the diocese. The
Office seeks the necessary resources to meet the needs in the best manner possible. These resources can be found within the diocesan structure, as well as outside it. The Diocese relies on a vast system of services for its people, but Hispanic Catholics that do not speak the English language do not receive the maximum benefits of those pastoral and social services. The Office of Hispanic Ministry offers pastoral services in Spanish and collaborates with the other diocesan entities to better serve its people. It seeks to fully integrate the Hispanic Catholic community in the local Catholic Church at all levels.PERSONNEL
