At an afternoon press conference held on Wednesday, June 15 at St. Vincent Parish in Akron, Bishop Richard Lennon shared exciting news about Rooted in Faith – Forward in Hope, a diocesan initiative that provides parishioners across the Diocese wiith the opportunity to work together to realize our vision for a vibrant Catholic Church in Northeast Ohio.

In just a few short months, the Campaign has already raised over $30 million in pledges from leadership gifts and from parishioners in nine parishes!

Five important areas have been identified that are critical to the vitality of our Church:  revitalizing and renewing parish life as the center of our faith; strengthening our faith through evangelization and lay faith formation; ensuring access to high quality Catholic education; investing in priestly formation and care for our retired clergy; and ministering to the needy of our region through health and human services.

The Catholic Community Foundation is responsible for the management and administration of the Campaign.
